Elevator Pitch No. 2

I got a lot of good feedback on my last elevator pitch. People said it would be really helpful for a lot of students and could be really successful. I did get some recommendations to improve though, specifically in my content which I thought was really helpful. One thing I improved from my first elevator pitch was that I mentioned there were designated spots to exchange textbooks to solve the safety issues. I also tried to set myself apart from other textbook services by mentioning how much easier and less frustrating this would be for college students.

  1. We basically have the same idea when I comes to what our business would be like! The advice I would have to offer is the pitch. Have someone record you, if there is a next time/'Elevator Pitch No. 3'. Also, blank background. I could have used my own advice on that. I cant help but notice your attire. I see that you have a dress shirt in the background. I know, I didn't want to dress up, but it was only for a sixty seconds.

  2. Hey there,

This is a great idea! I think an app like this would be used very often and could save a lot of students a great deal of money. The one thing I would suggest is that from an investment standpoint you haven't touched on how this app can be profitable for the app creators. I think maybe advertisement of charging a small user fee or percentage of each sale would be the most logical route, but explaining this quickly will catch an investors eye. Otherwise great stuff!

  3. Great job on this one Matt, I liked how upbeat your pitch was. It added a nice energy to the speech that took away from it being so serious. This is a good tactic to use when pitching an idea to someone because they're more likely to see you as a friend giving you an idea and less of a business pitch. 4. The good: Your delivery of your idea is great. You talked at a calmed pace and clearly expressed your idea. There is actually another student in the class that basically has the same idea. You guys should definitely team up! My only problem was the camera angle. Next time try to keep it at an eye level. Check my blog out at
